Context

Hired by the company to work with a team of 10 as the lead designer to launch the platform V1, collaborating with a graphic designer for marketing efforts.

We launched the Beta version and achieved $400,000 in deposits within two weeks. Additionally we were experimenting with other ideas in this nascent space and we also launched a "trade with leverage" NFT platform.

In short

MetaStreet is a platform where depositors invest money with the expectation of earning a high APR, while lenders can sell their loans back to the platform if they urgently need capital.

MetaStreet's algorithm proposes real-time prices based on the floor price history and volume of collections. When loans expire, MetaStreet is paid and distributes profits to lenders accordingly.

How it went

I joined the team at MetaStreet to help ship a product designed for trust and privacy in the new and complex world of web3 and DeFi platforms with little UX maturity. Existing options like NFTfi and Arcade were inefficient, requiring manual matching and "over-the-counter" 1-1 transactions. MetaStreet offers a lending protocol on Ethereum that supports NFT-collateralized loans.

Created prototype screens in Figma for the main flow of capital depositors, gathered critical insights from 2 rounds of usability testing, and shared findings with the team in a Notion Doc. Tweaked then the design based on feedback, added trust-enhancing elements, and successfully shipped the V0 of MetaStreet within 3 months. Achieved the goal of gaining user trust with 400,000 DAI deposited in just 2 weeks.
